The parents are the ones who will grade their children in home school, as they are the ones who teach them. For a parent to grade his or her own children can be a difficult task.

The parents while grading their children need to keep in mind that the child has grasped the subject and has mastered it. If not you can take extra lessons until he has done it.

In home schooling, if you are teaching the child a subject and feel that a trip to the place you are teaching about will be an added incentive to the child you can plan a field trip. If you are in a group then you can arrange for the other children to accompany.

Planning a trip will help you be prepared well in advance and you can enjoy it too along with the children. The planning involves:

1) The rates of visiting the place: If you are planning to visit a museum or a zoo and knowing, the entry rates will help you make your budget.

2) Timings: The timing they are open is also important as if you start early, you will have enough time to look round.

3) Ages: The minimum ages of the children if any like in any museum they may not allow kids aged below three.

4) The group size: How big a group can be.

5) Highlights: The highlights of the place, which is to be explained to the children.

6) Place for eating: If there is any cafeteria or a park somewhere, you can make children sit and eat.

If you are going in a group share the information with the others and be prepared. In addition, if any flyers are to be prepared can be done well in advance. Plan the place to meet and the type of transport, and to reach the place well in advance before the show timings.

Any trip is always fun but field trips are very exciting for the children. Let them enjoy by looking at the objects and let them carry some books and pens to write their experiences.
If the trip is planned properly, you can relax and enjoy your time with the children and you will get to spend precious time with children.

The concept of teaching children at home starts the day they are born. As we live in a  family surrounded by our grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins and of course siblings. The children learn everything from the adult or more from their siblings as what ever they do the younger one copies.

Sometimes parents decide to home school their child because they themselves have had a very bad experience with their own public schooling.
